Make sure it is wet or bathed when you put it on.
This bath mat has a strong smell. It goes away, but doesn't go away completely.* Vacuuming works best when it's wet or your tub is wet. Use your hands to push it down a little. It probably couldn't hurt to add a few more suction cups to the bottom. * It's not as comfortable for my feet as my previous one. It's a bit harder on the legs, it doesn't hurt. I don't stand on it for hours * It has an edge that my other one doesn't. Hope it lasts as long. :) In general, it serves its purpose, we do not slip into our soul. If you can stand the smell for a few weeks, buy it. Wash with chlorine and hang to dry.
