Review on SATA Ratcheting Screwdriver High Torque Mechanism by John Barnett

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wasn't expecting

Good ratchet screwdriver and very light "plastic" handle is a little big compared to other screwdrivers of this type, so the screwdriver is not suitable for use in tight spaces, but a real hand filler . I was just surprised that driver bits have to be used with one of the extensions/rods. In other words, the bits are too small to fit snugly in the ratchet handle, but will fit in the small nut provided. The head with the bit installed is then attached to one of the extensions and the bit, head and rod combination is inserted into the screwdriver handle. The simple, standard forward->locked->back ratchet seems average for this type of screwdriver, the "flex" extension is extremely stiff and doesn't flex at all, but there's a decent range of standard bit sizes , they fit. other ratchet drives and extensions or rods feel like solid chrome steel. And the nylon canvas over hardboard zippered tote bag is actually pretty handy. I would classify this set as "light to medium use around the house". Probably not intended for the professional mechanic.

Pros
  • Good performance
Cons
  • Missing shape
