Both of my aquarium thermometers stopped working within a day - this is one of the two I bought. I thought it had an alarm feature which would be handy if your heating stopped working in the middle of winter, but haven't figured it out yet. Now reading the questions I learn that this should not be used in the acrylic aquarium I have. I know it's two degrees different than where the heater is located and based on my old thermometers before they broke. Fingers crossed that this is correct and helpful. I am not sure where I will store the extra battery.
