I teach software courses over the internet, which means I spend eight hours a day at my desk. I needed a headset that would deliver excellent sound quality (both my voice and that of the students) and be comfortable to wear all day. I researched several brands and almost clicked on a Jabra headset but gave up due to the price. Then the Logitech H650e arrived on my desk, with good specs and a better price. After some use, here's my take on it. Pros: Here's what I wanted. Stereo sound for both ears. Tape over head, no tape behind head (like my last set). Design and construction of a business class. This one is solidly built and feels like it will last. Excellent sound quality, both incoming and outgoing. My students have given very good feedback on my voice quality and I can hear them clearly. The set is generally very comfortable and includes a clip to attach the cable to my shirt to keep the headset from pulling off my head when I move around or under the weight of the cable itself. The mute button on the cable is also very handy . Cons: Some headset features only activate when compatible software is used. For example, the call indicator is only useful when calling Skype or similar software. It won't activate just because you're using a headset. Another issue is the volume of my own voice in the headset when I speak. Yes, my voice is there, but it's very low and I can't adjust it in any way. I mostly hear my voice outside of the headphones, not through them. Less than satisfactory but not enough to send back. I mentioned that the headset is generally comfortable. But I did notice that my ears hurt a bit at the end of the day and I had to adjust the phones a bit to make them more comfortable. Granted, that can only be my ears. Note. The call connect/disconnect button and call indicator have become less useful to me since Skype stopped supporting these features (although they say they still do). I was in class and both functions worked flawlessly. I received a notification about a new version of Skype and installed it. Now these functions no longer work. I can't get anyone on Skype to answer my questions about what features are still supported. I haven't seen anything from Logitech either. If you use Skype, be careful.
