The shocks themselves are fine but as others have pointed out they are not supplied pre-compressed/expanded. Also, they didn't come with hardware to attach them to my car. And my truck's original equipment had a different thread pitch, so I couldn't reuse the original nut. Of course, I didn't realize this until after I'd already removed my original shock absorber, which I drove to the hardware store to do, but I had a cumbersome car. Eventually the rubber shock absorbers were too big to use with my car so I had to reuse my old ones. Overall I wouldn't call them "perfect" for my application (1996 Ranger). While the shocks may work well, the installation experience was poor.
