The lights were all they said they would be. They were bright, pleasantly colored, cool to the touch, easily changed from one pattern to the next via the remote, and lasted all season. No issues.However, based on the reviews on here, I figured that I needed the 800 string to cover my 6 1/2 to 7 foot real Christmas tree. To be fair, when I looked at lights in the retail stores, the boxes also suggested that. However, about a third of the way through the string, there was absolutely no way that I could fit another light on. Two thirds of them ended up sitting on the floor behind the tree for the holiday season. Because this is one EXTREMELY long string of lights, it can get easily tangled, and, while it really wasn't a problem when putting the lights on. When you take them off .ehhhh . It's not quite as easy (and that's with me only having to take off about a third of them.For an indoor tree, I'm buying another set of these, a 300 string. I'm confident it will be more than enough. If I'm wrong, I believe you can connect a second short string to that, but based on this year, I can't imagine needing it. 800 would be perfect for decorating a lot of trees outdoors :)
