I am finally using this item today on my own (alone) to fill my 2 gallon kombucha into 16 16 oz second ferment bottles. It is easy to use and durable. Now that you know how the siphon works, you will be happy with the end result. Here's the basic theory: when the hose is below the point where the siphon is, liquid will flow. The liquid stops as soon as you raise the hose above the water level. The point where the siphon is located. Pros: Easy to work alone. Fast when you have a volume to go through. I poured out 2 gallons fairly quickly after adding my flavors to my bottles. - Patience is best with this product and there is very good control if you have a patient, steady hand. Cons - Cleaning isn't that easy, but makes sense given the way it works and how it works - Storage can be fun as you can't or shouldn't remove the hose once it's connected - Be careful when attaching the stabilizer clip because I don't attach it my 2 gallon anchor jar and I didn't want to force and break the clip. Thank you for reading my review and enjoy your brewing
