I wanted to add a flashing light ring around the charging port on my 2017 Chevy Bolt EV which does not offer that option. This was PERFECT. I only needed one of the 5 wires so I removed the 1:5 splitter and plugged the single wire into the controller. I used double stick mounting tape to hold the controller to the charger door and wrapped the single wire around the charge port several times. Since it is only powering 1 wire it lasts for a LOT of hours! I use the slow blink mode. I bought rechargeable AA batteries but the original AA alkaline batteries I put in are still going even with their voltage below 1.5 volts. Amazing! Love this product.
