Review on ๐Ÿฑ The Refined Feline Clouds Wall Mounted Cat Shelves - Two Perches for Cats by Allison Carpenter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sturdy and cats love them

I bought two sets of these shelves and moved them - one lower, one higher on the wall but close enough for cats to easily jump from bottom to top ( like a ladder). Our cats need to be well trained not to jump on tables, shelves, counters etc - it doesn't seem to have occurred to them to take the initiative to try the shelves. So we used catnip spray and treats to tempt her. At first both cats used the shelves, but now only the young cat does it regularly (the second one is already old). The cat likes to jump between the shelves and make out with them. We put cat toys (plastic balls) on the top shelves as the cat loves to knock them down and then run after them. The shelves are very durable. I wish they were a little bigger for bigger cats. Rather than just being flat, I think the short sides will encourage cats to use them more and nap on them. I considered buying red shelves (about $10 more) to give the wall a contemporary art look, but played it safe by buying cream colored ones instead. The off-white shelves definitely go with our off-white wall, but I'm wondering what red would look like. As others have noted, these shelves are heavy and require two people to install. I tried putting screws into the studs but could only do this for one of the shelves as we wanted to position them. So we used an anchor for another shelf. So far they've held up well, even with the cat's vigorous leaps between them.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
