I have tried literally EVERYTHING on the market to help my sweet 14 year old Golden Retriever walk through our hardwoods. She doesn't lay on the mats, the stickers ruined her paw pads and I felt awful using them, the stiffer boots didn't fit her and she could take them off, the spray was like poison and the gritty stuff in the shell wasn't more sticky and caused skids. By the end I was really starting to worry that she might hurt herself - it was so horrible to watch. Then they told me about it. They were an absolute find. My old lady has gotten much easier to get up and walk much better! She is the largest size. The velcro helps them stay in place, although yes they will curl or loosen up on them, but we pull them up. I think the handles on them work fantastic. And you can flip them over if the sock loses traction during the day as they have sticky traction elements at the top and bottom. I wash them inside out and they keep working like clockwork. I really can't say enough good things about these socks. I bought about 4 or 5 sets to alternate and keep an effective hold. A month and no problems and this is the strongest recommendation I can give for aging furry babies who are having trouble walking.
