Make sure your FCC ID is the same or the buttons will not work properly if not at all. This worked for my 2012 Camaro 2SS. Activation is easy, just insert the working key and turn on the accessory, but don't start the car. Wait about 15 seconds. Delete key. Immediately insert new key and switch on, but do not start. Leave for about 30 seconds. Remove key and check button functions. Instead of cutting out a new key blade, I just popped out the pin and replaced the key blade with the original key blade from my broken fob. The key looks a bit cheap but all the functions work and the price is worth it! UPDATE: It's been 7 months and it's still working fine.
