Review on Chaco Womens ZX2 Classic W Black Women's Shoes ~ Athletic by Emily Myers

I was very excited about my first pair of chacos which I heard were extremely comfortable with easily adjustable straps. However, these straps are extremely stiff and difficult to adjust, even after spraying them with water-diluted fabric softener, as I've heard from a few people. I pull and pull on them to get them big enough, but then as I walk they shrink back up, causing chafing and pain (which isn't really that big. I usually wear a size 7 1/2, but I do have one size up Bought 8. The sole is perfect and the straps fit my foot for a while). At the same time, they are super durable. I carried her to Israel, swam in it in the Dead Sea (other shoes may have fallen off when my foot got stuck in the mud, but these were fine) and traveled through the shallow waters into Hezekiah's tunnel. They dry quickly and my feet feel supported in them. I just wish the straps were as easy to adjust as people advertise. They've been sitting in my closet for the last year because when I'm not wearing them in the water I prefer to wear tennis shoes and not feel uncomfortable.
