Great hair dryer but I can't remove the dust box to clean it

I love this hair dryer and bought it to replace the same model I had before. My only major complaint is that the rear air intake, which collects dust and lint over time, cannot be removed for flushing. The instructions state that you need to use something (a toothpick maybe?) to pry the fluff out of the holes one at a time. I don't have the patience for it, but since the unit is so cheap, if it's so clogged that it's performance drops after a few years, I just swap the whole thing out.
