This block is very well made. I've been welding for 20 years. So I know what good welds look like. The flat bar is 3/8" thick. The unit came with a 5/8" hitch pin. This hitch fits my receiver perfectly. If your receiver is not 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" square tubing with 1/4" thick, every handle in it will rattle. So the amount of rattle will depend on the quality of your receiver. Cons: I pushed the hitch all the way into the receiver, marked, and drilled a new hole for the hitch pin, with that the hitch doesn't stick out that far Would definitely buy again.
