Review on ✂️ SINGER 01512 Sewing Kit for Beginners, Including 130 Essential Pieces by Shantel Griffin

This set is great if you are not serious about sewing. I know it's called a 'Beginner's Kit' but even beginners are better off buying these items individually as they are not as expensive and tend to be of better quality when not in a kit. Would recommend, maybe for a "repair" sewing kit. I bought this when I first got my sewing machine and have gradually replaced each piece in my sewing bag with better quality one-offs. I regret a little that I bought them all in one set, which was not very good quality at first. I still use a tape measure and pincushion because you can't screw it up. The scissors weren't sharp at first and dulled fairly quickly. Same with the seam ripper. "Fabric pencils" are nothing more than colored pencils, which do not draw at all on many fabrics. Straight pens bend quite easily. Overall it's not bad, especially for the price, but if you plan on doing sewing projects I'd go for something more durable as you'll be replacing items within the first year of use.
