I finally got tired of trying to use my maps on my phone while it was on the console next to me. I wanted something that would attach to my dash or windshield as I don't have many cup holders and don't like things sticking out of my vents. My phone is quite big and I carry it in a wallet so it's bulky too. So I did some research and found this item to be universal (dash/windshield/air vent mount) and could work with larger phones too, and based on the reviews I made my decision. It was a great purchase. I was able to assemble the device in less than a minute. After clearing an area on my dash and getting the angle right, I placed an object and squeezed the lever to vacuum and it was SURELY stuck! I put my phone (in the wallet) in the holder and it stood up with no problem. Then I attached the charger to the bottom and off we went. Even on bumpy roads the thing didn't fall down! He jumped a little when the car jumped, but that was to be expected. I bought this item in July when it was hot outside and the suction was great. When I originally placed the holder it was pointing straight ahead and I found myself hunched over to see certain things and made the decision to adjust the holder. I was afraid to take it off and change its orientation as it was very hard, but I took a chance and it came off pretty easily. I moved it so it was more towards the driver's side and then squeezed the suction lever and it held with no problem. I like that it can be adjusted without losing suction. I liked this holder so much that when my husband got a new car I bought another one and fitted it to his new truck. At first he told me he didn't need it, but after I installed it he liked it and didn't let me take it back! I really like this product and will buy again if the one I have ever breaks.
