Not quite sure how to rate these stools. Four stars is pretty generous considering the effort it takes. First the good: They are really cute and just the style I was looking for. They're comfortable and feel sturdy and decently constructed. Now for the bad: I ordered several sets of these stools and each stool arrived with chips, chipped paint and scratches. I had to buy paint and take the time to paint all the stools before assembling them. Stools are supplied without instructions. The stools come with a paper asking you to email the manufacturer with instructions, which seems odd. Directions can not be included in the paper? However, the assembly is pretty easy and I put it together with no instructions. There are no pre-drilled holes on the wooden seat to attach the seat to the base. It's okay, but you have to know that you need a drill. Even after I attached a wooden seat to some of them, the top wobbled a bit. I figured they probably needed shims between the seat and base which aren't included so I went back to the shop and took the top apart to add shims and that took care of the wobble. I find it funny that the box they come in is labeled "bar stools DIY". They really don't joke about it. Get paint, drills, and extra gear ready!
