I've used a similar Fiskars model for a variety of purposes around the home and classroom for years, but after purchasing this set for my Montessori class I was disappointed. The handles are loosely connected to the blades, so the tips don't always make full contact. This is frustrating for both young scissors learners and more experienced users. However, I have not found a better model at this price. Also, the grips are almost the perfect size and shape, so I wouldn't recommend any other pair. I would just like to see a better build from Fiskars.
