Yes they are lightweight compared to other plastic bottles. They are made of safe material and will be used again and again. Cleaning is easy, but I bought one from Revain with a very long handle and silicone "bristles" that make each bottle easy to clean. Of course, if you leave something at the bottom of the bottle before cleaning, it will be more difficult for you to clean it. You wouldn't do that, would you? I wish they had a little more room, maybe an extra ounce, because I'm pouring from a 2 liter container and these bottles fill almost to the brim.
