My parents got a new sofa and didn't want our cats to scratch it. I told them I would look for something on Amazon. We've been using the spray for about 3 weeks and the scratches are still there but not to the same extent as before. And the most important thing I found from another review is to make sure the cat is watching while you spray the furniture. One thing to watch out for is the smell, I think it smells a bit like bug repellent so be careful not to overdo it.
