The plastic isn't top quality, but it's good enough to work well.

It's not the highest quality material in the world, but it looks good, has a nice color/gloss and is strong enough to hold a controller. It's just relatively thin plastic molded into the shape you see. It is not solid, the front you see in the picture is a flat thin surface and the back is concave. As said, this is ONLY enough for your controller to show up. However, the paint/paint/whatever looks nice, so for the price it's not a bad option.
