Review on Vintage Nostalgia Recording - Onn Cassette Recorder by Kirt Phillips

I couldn't be more disappointed with this product. I'm an audio engineer/producer. I bought this recorder to make field recordings and then use them almost as an effect in my own music. Cassette tapes have their own unique sonic artifacts and I'm always looking for new and unique ways to explore sound. I have used this item 3 times since I bought it in July. No more than 15 minutes each time. I wanted to use it a few days ago and suddenly it doesn't play any sound. I've tried absolutely everything to fix bugs. Only the battery was used. DC only. Bought new cassettes. Tried with the internal microphone and the supplied external microphone. I tried connecting it back through my audio interface using a converter and a 1/8" cable. Nothing works. It's broken. I think it speaks for itself. Don't buy this. It's not even worth the low price.
