Review on CTA Tools 1437 Brake Release by Mar Pacora

Good so I read the other reviews before buying and bought it anyway. I've gotten to the point in my life where I'm willing to spend $34 to get the right tool for the job. I'm tired of trying everything with a rusty screwdriver, pliers and a hammer. It arrived quickly and well packaged. The quality seems to be good. However, as others have pointed out, it's too wide - at least for my application on a 2008 VW Beetle. I took another reviewer's advice and cut 3/4" out and welded it back. I'm lucky to have the means to do this. If you don't have one, do a little research and make sure it's the right one Tool is.For your application.Once the width issue was fixed it slid straight in and I pushed the brake booster rod ball out of the plastic socket with almost no effort.It worked very smoothly.
