I've had the same old wet and dry straightener for many years and when it broke I knew I needed a different one. I've been using this for over a month now and I really like it. The straightener works as it should: doesn't pull, straightens quickly, leaves hair super soft and smooth (even when I was in dire need of a haircut). I don't use it on very damp hair, just slightly damp (I have shoulder length hair and generally don't like blow drying it in the summer). When using it on wetter hair I had to turn up the heat a bit and even then it didn't "dry" my hair completely. I don't think it's really meant for that. BUT. Great for travel so you don't need to bring your hair dryer. Heats up quickly and gets very hot. I use it on one of the lower settings (380 degrees) and have a mix of fine and coarse hair.
