Review on Unleash the Force with Propel Star Wars Quadcopter: X Wing Collectors Edition Box by Bronson Hussain

Cool sounding paperweight

We bought two of these drones. It was the first, the speeder bike the second. As I said in my Speeder review, unboxing is the best part of this purchase. The lights/sounds of the box itself were stunning (even for Mom). I admit it's cool. But it stops there. My son got it for his birthday in June 2018. By August, after a few flights, the thing had grown into a cool-sounding paperweight. Doesn't fly anymore. The motors run inconsistently, sending this everywhere and not responding to the controller. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. The speeder, which flies much better than the X-wing, has an engine failure a month later and no longer flies at all. The most disappointing part is that my 9 year old son saved money for his birthday to buy a speeder bike after getting this one. A life lesson learned. Sometimes you save up for a super cool toy and it sucks. If you're looking for a collector's item that simply fits in a box, this could be the gift for you. If you're buying it as a drone that's fun to fly and spend time with your kids, skip this one. It's garbage.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
