It is durable and stable. While I'd recommend a separate Bluetooth keyboard for fast typing, the stand can withstand reasonable pressure as long as you keep both hands on the laptop on the stand with mild to minimal tremors. The hinges are pretty tight now. The only major criticism I have is that they should have provided a better wrench to loosen or tighten the nuts as needed. What is provided is an ill fitting and underpowered tool that can even injure your hand if it slips off - it hasn't happened yet but I can see how easily it can happen. I'd buy it again, but I'd keep a better wrench handy because what's there isn't even meant for birds.
