Wow, I was really impressed by these hair ties! I have long hair (almost waist length). My hair texture is smooth and fine, but I have LOTS of hair. I've been using the Invisibobble Power Straps for a little over a month and they have hooked me. They don't pull, cling, or unravel my hair. They are strong enough to hold my long hair in a ponytail without slipping. However, there is a small technique to remove them. You can't just pull them off while they're wrapped around your ponytail. You should unroll them one loop at a time. This prevents pulling and associated breaking (technically it's the same as removing a regular hair tie, but who does that anyway?) Well, I will say that these elastics aren't for everyone. I loved my invisible balloon so much I showed it to my cousins for Thanksgiving. When I asked my younger cousin to show me how to make a "sloppy bun," she showed me on her hair with my invisible pearl. Somehow the invisibility got stuck in her hair and she immediately decided that she didn't like the invisibility at all. For reference, she is 19 years old, she has thin hair down to her shoulders. While they might not be for everyone, they're definitely worth trying if you're looking for a comfortable hair tie that won't give you a headache to wear or leave a dent in your hair.
