Love the gray nautical/pirate prints we ordered for our 6 year old. But the lace is pathetic so we sent back the second pair we ordered. The drawstring is the only way to tighten the shorts (which is super important because he's a pretty skinny kid) - but they only left about an inch and a half of extra rope, making it nearly impossible to tie and untie! Shorts will slide down if you can't tighten them up. We had to tie a permanent knot, which luckily works because it's thin enough to still put them on and off, but as a result it's difficult to untie and too loose at the waist to effectively tie the shorts in place keep. They should have left a longer tip!
