One of the best GPS modules you can buy and at a great price.

I buy and test almost every small Ublox 8 GPS module you can buy. It turns out it's the wild west, with many suggestions that don't work well at all, some seem like fake scammers, and some work great. I've tried a few with the antenna built in and thought it would be perfect, but none of them work as well as this one. I do all my testing indoors on my kitchen counter as they all work well in ideal outdoor conditions and it's harder to spot a few dB difference that could really make a difference in more strenuous real world use. Right out of the box, this receiver tracks many GPS and Glonass satellites in 3D tracking within 1-2 minutes, and also tracks 3D/DGNSS SBAS fast. Fantastic. This receiver whether in the middle of my house or near a window usually has an average accuracy of within 3-5m with short term deviations of 7.5m. In the attached picture this unit is the bottom chart and I think it is , that could be the worst-case scenario - it was pretty blind to halfway up the sky on the south-facing windowsill, while signals were weaker in my kitchen. around, but some through windows in all directions (note the variances are much less east/west, not round like in my kitchen). Many modules perform MUCH worse than this one, this one is almost the best. What a little gem this module is, top notch performance with the included antenna, the flexibility to swap it out for a different antenna or a longer cable for the remote control if you wish. The next two top performers are probably identical: https://www. amazon.com/gp/product/B07H9K6HFB/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0716BK5NT/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's fantastic, everyone is great fast time and fast forward to 3D/DGNSS, hums and hard tracking - in my kitchen (blocked two floors up). The GPS module "DIYmall Micro GPSV5 GNSS HMC5983 Saw LNA Triple Band Antenna ANT" performed slightly better in the parallel test, possibly because an antenna of a similar size was not that close to the laptop. The best module with a built-in antenna was this one. one: https://www.amazon.com/Receiver-Navigation-Sensitivity-Betaflight-Geekstory/dp/B07P7N9CV6/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_5?keywords=geekstory+m8n&qid=1551654303&s=gateway&sr=8-5-fkmrnull This is the best receiver in the attached performance table, not as good as this one, but really good considering the size and weight. Most of these receivers have little documentation, but at least they all have silk-screened labels so you know how to hook them up. I mention this next receiver because it had no markings and easy to find documentation, the only clue is the red wire (with 5 black wires) - guess what, the red wire is NOT a power supply so I probably blew it. . Very unfortunate as it looks authentic and is really well made, but be careful! Ultimate GPS Receiver", he was one of the worst among them all (more like Ublox-6).
