Mit PS4 cable supplied was too short for my controller to play from the couch when in use. This extension is perfect and now I can charge it while playing my games. At first I wanted to order a 2 foot, then I changed my mind and bought a 3 foot. This is a good choice as 2ft would probably be too short to be comfortable. If someone trips over the cable while charging, I think it will break without damaging the controller or console. But I haven't tested it and don't intend to.
