They do not hold the windshield in place
They hold the windshield to the light posts fairly well, but when folded the clips do not hold the polycarbonate sheet tight enough to prevent it from falling off. Plan to attach them to the screen with rubber bands like I did, or use other means to attach them to the windshield. If you always drive with the windshield up, don't worry; otherwise watch out.
