Nice! Favourite!

I really liked this cross stitch! When I received it I wasn't sure what I would get. This is a pattern printed on Aida. I'm used to working with counts, so I wasn't sure. But in the end I gave in and I'm glad I did. It was a LOT of work and time. But worth every minute. Included was a 21 x 18" 11k printed Aida fabric, a color chart (11 x 16, half front half back) with symbols/letters for reference, a pair of needles (not enough!); and floss DMC. For most there was plenty of floss but I ran out of 1 which was for the final backstitch but a fairly common color so I found it at Michael's (I think I accidentally lost it as the rest wasn't a problem. ) .It uses 3 threads for cross stitch and half stitch, 2 threads for backstitch, and either 2 or 3 threads for a few French knots.Ready to use (My favorites are the gold Clover point for its sharpness and the Bohin point for its more rounded point. I've used the Bohin point most of the time, but prefer the sharper Clover point for reverse sewing (the sharper point is good for piercing thick thread). I also bought a fabric pen from EZ International to use in certain areas had to keep up. It was still 3 months to complete but as I was stuck at home it wasn't a problem. When I was done, I hand washed (in "Soak Sentless" laundry soap). It was like Christmas! Very beautiful! Most of the printed dye was washed off under cold running water, the rest came out after soaking in the solution for 15-20 minutes. (I left it on a little longer to remove finger stains and dirt). The finished image is approximately 17 1/2" x 12". Plenty of time but I'm glad I didn't return it. Now I have to find another!

Cons
  • I can't remember, but something happened
