Review on YESKING 20 200In Lb 2 26 22 6Nm Dual Direction Adjustable by Tim Thomason

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use, clear and accurate scale, smooth release to build torque.

I do not have a torque meter to determine the accuracy of this torque wrench. I still have two torque wrenches, a lawnmower and a car. Test torques for small machine screws at 50 ft-lbs by testing three different screws using each wrench in a different order. I used a wrench to set the torque at 50 and then the other two to see if it clicks at 50 or the bolt starts turning. In all cases, the three torque wrenches matched to be accurate to 50 ft-lbs. I did the same test with two 100ft pounds. Nuts on my car wheel. Last time I used a Yesking wrench and it clicked 100 without turning the nut any further. As for the set itself, it's a good set. The wrench has a nice blue finish, and one small issue that definitely doesn't deserve a star is that the slip ring trim, which allows you to turn the handle to adjust the torque, is easily removed. It doesn't appear to be the same anodized finish as the key body, more like enamel. These are just some tests and without looking closely I can see metal underneath the black coating in several places around the ring. I think over time this ring will get badly scratched and scratched. This is very bad as it is the only aesthetic issue with an otherwise good looking instrument. If they anodized or nitrided that black ring they could get the same color scheme but one that would last longer. It's a nitpick, but it's there. The torque setting scale is engraved on the surface of the tool, so I imagine it's going to take an incredible amount of abuse before you can't read it. Nm outside, Ft. pounds on the other side. The plastic carrying case is a handy addition, although the selection of 1/4" bits was unusual. Hexagon socket and torx bits? Okay...they're good quality, but I'd rather go with metric or hex SAE. head ends. Now for where this torque wrench really shines... the price. The other two keys I used in my test, with no names, cost over $100 each. This tool is less than half the price, so you get your money's worth for a cheap tool.
