. This is my second set. I bought the first set last year for another truck. It was the right decision. The quality is more or less the same as the OEM. Most likely they are all made in China. The only difference should be stricter quality control by Volvo to put the Volvo badge on it. However, I did notice the better material used for the projection mirror in these aftermarket headlights. Volvo OEMs are notorious for extremely poor quality projection mirrors made from synthetic polymers. They fade and become opaque after two years or less. Worse, they actually burn, turning the polished surface a useless brown. The mirrors of these non-original copies are made of die-cast metal. The polished surface is much more bitter and will not discolor from overheating. However, the rubber surface may require some maintenance. In my experience I had to apply a bit of super glue to keep it tight and in place. The light pattern is more liberal in design than Volvo's stingy OEM. Brighter mirror and larger projection frame provide better and stronger light intensity than OEM. The cost is half that of OEM. This alone more than justifies the choice of the secondary market. But combined with other benefits, this makes for a much better and smarter solution. I recommend it over OEM.
