The shoe broke on the day of the track and field competition. My daughter is a sprinter and the straps broke the first time I wore them after only 8 weeks. She only used them for meetings and select workouts. So they weren't worn out. Very disappointed. Had to use last year's spikes for her race. She finished third in the state in her old spikes. I wonder if the new functional spikes she used throughout the season would have helped even more! I am updating this review because I was very happy with my interaction with the new balance. They were very helpful and compensated us for a faulty product. This product is also no longer manufactured.
