Review on GZBtech 6 Light Chandelier Farmhouse Pendant by Jonathan Brendemuehl

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Appearances can be deceiving

Looked exactly as we wanted in the pictures. Out of the box - looks good, strong and solid. We love glassy shades with speckles. Some of the screws on top of the frame aren't flush, but that's not noticeable when hanging. Still questionable craftsmanship. Installation was excruciating (3+ hours and I installed many ceiling lights in one day). The instructions are NOT clear and the mounting plate screws that connect to the base of the mount weren't long enough so I had to find two screws and hex nuts that would fit. (Luckily I had them.) The wiring itself was easy though, and after securing it to the ceiling with new screws and installing the bulbs, I stepped back to admire my gorgeous new SKRIV chandelier. Wait, that can't be. Is my ceiling uneven? (No.) Is one of the metal rods bent? (No.) Maybe my window isn't level. (Again, no.) The chandelier itself is NOT FLAT. It's not a SQUARE. One side is slightly larger than the other, which is why the chandelier is at an angle. The two lights are also slanted and cannot be bent vertically. Rustic or not, a chandelier should sit flat and level when hung. This is unacceptable quality for a product of this price. I contacted the company hoping to get a new one. If not, we will return this one and look elsewhere for another light. This is very disappointing because until we hung it up it looked beautiful. I should have taken the "five stars" and no actual reviews as a warning.
