Excellent Customer Support and Warranty - TrippLite stands by their product and warranty

Sorry for the long review but I thought this required all the information. I don't usually write reviews about products, I write reviews about the body of this TrippLite surge protector; I felt I had to share my story. I bought this product for my home computer, monitor, printer, router, modem, etc. because it has enough ports for all of these devices and has great distance for wall warts and large items. I also chose this option because it includes RJ11 (telephone/DSL) and RJ45 (network) security. Shortly after installation, my phone line was hit by a severe thunderstorm, but luckily the surge was quelled by TrippLite and no equipment. was damaged. TrippLite was indeed corrupted and I had to disconnect my phone line from TrippLite to get my internet service working. I contacted TrippLite tech support and informed them that the unit was damaged due to over voltage and they promptly sent a replacement unit with a lifetime warranty. Pretty easy and pretty quick delivery. We've had a lot of big thunderstorms this summer and again we had a big spike in the phone line; but unfortunately it went through TrippLite and fried the modem and also damaged my computer, router and printer. I contacted tech support again and let them know what happened and they apologized for what happened and sent another replacement unit but also asked if I would like to make a claim for damages. I was very skeptical at first, but I thought, what do I have to lose? Technical support put me in contact with the claims department and it was the most pleasant experience I have ever had with a customer service representative. The requirements administrator was the nicest, most patient, and most helpful person I have ever dealt with with an issue like this. She must have spent half an hour of her time explaining the process, answering all my many questions and telling me how to fill in the required paperwork that she would send me. This required claim documentation was promptly sent to me via email and USPS, and another unit was shipped via UPS to replace the damaged one. Once the new TrippLite replacement has arrived; I installed a new one and boxed up the damaged unit, filled out the damage form and other required information, and sent it all to TrippLite for damage assessment. Upon receipt, TrippLite assessed the damaged unit and I was contacted again by the claims adjuster who informed me that they had determined the surge had passed through the unit and would send me a receipt for the damaged items. Please note that this was not a quick process, so you must be patient and work with TrippLite. I first contacted TrippLite on 6/27/17 about the claim and today 8/16/17 I was contacted by the claims adjuster to say my check was sent. I can attest that TrippLite stands behind their products and will pay for the damage. Also note that throughout the complaint process I had another power surge that damaged the unit and they sent another replacement unit. Many thanks to TrippLite and a special THANK YOU to the clerk for all her help.
