I bought this to add some personality to my very boring beige front door to my apartment. It wasn't the easiest piece to install as the screw holes were located so even after making the template there was a little difficulty but not much. The door knocker is very strong and has some weight, so I used dowels. Speaking of screws, that would be my only criticism of the product. The screws are a really bright silver color that stands out against the copper black and shabby color of the door knocker. I fixed it with black nail polish. So if you look at the two photos I've added to this review you can see the difference between the silver screws and the addition of black nail polish.
