I bought these as an upgrade for my wired Sonic headphones (regular Chinese) that I bought from Revain a few years ago, mainly because of their reviews and their many drivers. . I like almost everything about my Sonic - sound, weight, fit, comfort. Every now and then I had to squeeze them a little harder to get the best sound, but I think all headphones in my price range are like that. Revain no longer sells Sonic, but they may still be available under a different brand. I keep mine as more than a backup. I use a Sony NWZ-S764 Walkman as the sound source. This is one of the latest original Walkman players that allows full customization of sound profiles and equalization and uses original Sony software to create your settings and libraries. The current Walkman and software are useless, but the old software is still available for download online (but not from Sony). Positive Comments: If you are looking for cheap wired headphones with great sound, check out this one. As much as I like Sonic, they sound better. They're relatively comfortable, not too heavy, big but not as big as the Revain photo shows, and they stay indoors. I still have to tap them from time to time to maintain proper insertion depth. Once fully installed, the sound is stunning with excellent mids, good highs and powerful bass. If you're looking for bass-heavy sound, this isn't your first choice. If you're looking for accurate sound reproduction, this is for you. I would best describe these buds as relatively flat and balanced. The sound alone is worth the purchase. The packaging and case are excellent. I don't like the cable and I didn't like the Sonic cable, but both last a long time if cared for. The sound cable can be a microphone cable. I didn't notice any microphone on these headphones. There are no microphones. The cable is not detachable, so there is no Bluetooth. I don't need those features, I just want comfortable wired headphones that sound really good, and they are. Negative comments: They include different ear tips. Everyone is very thin and it is very difficult to fit everyone. I have found that the best way is to turn the liner inside out, place it on the bud and then roll it out into the right shape. I was afraid they would break, but luckily that didn't happen. I was able to find a pair that basically matched, but I wasn't impressed with the quality of the insert. After a few hours of wearing they started to lose their comfort and I had to take them off for a while. I could easily wear the Sonic for half a day before taking it off. Overall I think these are great headphones with great sound and I recommend them.
