I bought translucent clay, many of which are quite expensive, but thank goodness I found this one! If you are new to clay making I definitely recommend you get your hands on translucent clay as the effect is different from regular clay. I don't buy a bunch of colored clay because I like to mix it myself (using oil pastels or even eyeshadow). Mixing paint with white clay is MUCH harder than with translucent clay. The only negative I can say is that the clay was more difficult to work with than my white (also Sculpey) clay, it's not as dry as some other reviewers' clay. although. I just add some baby oil/petroleum jelly, rub it into the clay and voila! I also keep it in a ziplock airtight container, that probably helps too.
