In short, this is a child's toy that some women may find useful for a sham workout. Or for tech-obsessed teens. Definitely bad for sports. A regular heart rate monitor appears to be at least three times more costly. However, this is true of all sporting goods. The solution you're looking for remains elusive. Instead than thinking about what's absolutely necessary, manufacturers tend to pile on as many features as possible. The primary issue is that it stops functioning if you shake it. Can't detect a heartbeat!
