Okay, I'll admit it. I needed a curtain to roll up because I didn't want to block the whole window, but during the day the sun turned my office and living room into a furnace and the sunlight into a laser beam. The ray is sure to ruin computers and stain notepads etc. So I found them and I'll admit the picture looked too "rustically quirky" for me. The tapes gave me goosebumps. After much searching I bought them anyway, thinking I could avoid the rustic look by curling the bottom up and not bundling it. Well, I'll be perfectly honest. I received the curtains and they were beautiful and good quality for the price! Very shocked! So I pulled the curtains up once, just once. A) Rolling looked stupid. B) When it came to fighting, I was too lazy to play the role every time (I'm only one person) C) Grouping them doesn't look fancy country. . :). If you are looking for blackout curtains because you are a day sleeper, light sensitive or a vampire then these are not 100% blackout curtains, at least not the light gray ones I have.
