You get what you pay for

We have been raising a mother and four kittens and needed a climbing tree for them. We didn't budget for all of the expenses for a new cat, so price was a factor. Pros: - Good size for kittens. At 5 weeks, the little fluffy lumps could already crawl into the small caves and didn't fall too high - easy to set up. There was a bit of confusion at one point, but enough detail to make it hard to go wrong. - Cheap! - Pretty solid. All four kittens could fall in one heap and he stayed. Cons: - Falls apart quickly. Four sets of small claws lined up on the cloth cover, and after three months of use, gaping holes appeared in the cave part. Threads were sticking out of these holes which pose a serious hazard to cats so should not be used until I have made a new cover. It is too small for adult (or almost adult) cats. These kittens are medium sized and at 4 months they still loved it but it was too small. He spent most of his time on his side because he fell down every time someone jumped off the top. I wouldn't buy it again but appreciated that something like this was available when I needed it. If it had been made of better fabric to cover part of the cave I would have given it a full five stars. Unfortunately, as it fell apart so quickly and became dangerous for cats, I cannot recommend it.
