I would like to give 5 stars but I can't. Along with the player and the radio, I bought a CD player; CD player not working. I noticed at least 4 other reviews with the same complaint but they were so few compared to all the positive reviews that I thought I'd take a chance. The CD player does not recognize CDs, although other CD players recognize them. Every time I insert a CD I get a "NO" error. I believe this can't have happened in transit: the device arrived well packaged with no damage to the outer packaging or the device itself. This leads me to believe that the manufacturer has very poor quality control. They are clearly delivered without full functionality. At the same time, all other functions are performed not only satisfactorily, but also above expectations. The player's sound quality is excellent; much better than i expected. It's not tinny or muffled at all: very clean, sharp and with enough bass. Overall, the sound is excellent for a device of this size and price. It's as good or better than any device I've heard in this price range. The radio works well and I played a few songs from my phone using the bluetooth and that worked, except the volume wasn't as great as the record player, but that may have more to do with my phone than the Victrola . . I have one unit in a (roughly) 25' x 15' room and it fills the room with clear, undistorted music at a much lower volume than it would at full volume. When I say it fills a room I don't mean it will deafen the ears but loud enough for most listeners. from other reviews), then this is a good buy. Even without a working CD player I'm keeping mine which should speak for its other good points but I can't rate it higher than 1 star as I bought the CD player but didn't receive the CD player.
