From what I can tell from the picture, activated charcoal (AC) whitens microabrasions like toothpaste. However, microabrasion is more pronounced in AS. As a result, you will be careful, otherwise your gums will become scratched and sensitive. I used to take AC in pills and skin care products. This is because AC works well as an antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and has absorbent (detoxifying) properties. So it will act like toothpaste. But that doesn't leave me with that greasy mouthfeel. To fix this, I brush the epilogue with toothpaste. Also keep in mind that it is stained. It can look like you've sucked on a pen if you don't look at yourself in the mirror after brushing and cleansing your skin. Out of 10: I'd say it's a 7 or 8.
