I am 5'6 and wear a size 6-8, ordered large. Very big on me (and I have big thighs and a big butt) but not see through at all which is a good thing! However, they are not suitable for every exercise. I'm a runner and was hoping to wear them for the next 10km, but just during the walk to the gym (about 15 minutes) I had to take them off at least 20 times. Rise strongly when sitting, crouching, walking, running. actually only move what disappointed me. In short, they definitely run large (especially for compression shorts) and are NOT intended for exercise of any kind. BUT they are very comfortable!
