I am very satisfied with the performance of this filter. I have this as part of a two-stage activated carbon system as the second stage. I can run it for about a year without any noticeable drop in pressure. Even on city water, this filter is completely brown after a year of use, so it's obviously removing a lot of contaminants from my drinking water. It also gives me peace of mind that my water softener is getting clean incoming water. This filter, combined with the charcoal stage, delivers clean, great-tasting water. I always replace both O-rings of the filter housing when changing the filter. I also put lots of sanitary grease on the o-rings to keep the case from sticking.
