I use relaxants regularly because my mom thought it was less work for her and I was embarrassed being the only black girl in school with curly hair. So I fast forward 10 years to breaking up in college and trying to get my curls back. I had a relaxer at 13 months and my curls look great with this shampoo and conditioner. Even my damaged ends are almost gone. My hair has grown so much that the relaxer has completely disappeared from my hair after about 6 months. This has been a staple for me and I've been doing great for the last 8 months or so. Makes my hair soft. I would also recommend using a leave-in conditioner after use if you want bouncy curls.
