Unusual fit relative to shoes in one area - heel strap sits low on heel so it moves a little when walking b/c, it is not attached to the smaller part of the heel/ankle. I couldn't tighten it further to make it more secure as it was at the limit of the strap. I have a medium foot, the heel can be a little smaller than some. I ordered size 40 which is my typical size. The size was perfect. The insole of the sandal is incredibly soft and comfortable. They have soft arch support. So if you want something you can really feel on the arch of your foot, these sandals aren't for you. I reluctantly return because I liked their lightness and insole but not the heel strap or arch support.
