Great for a portable film library.

We often go camping with our camper and sometimes I like to have household items with me. I didn't want to give up an arm and a leg for something that would just get spanked in a trailer, so I found this little guy. This is my first experience with Android TV boxes so I didn't know what to expect. I plugged it in at home and only connected to the internet for setup. I also installed Kodi from the Google Play Store. I started out by simply adding a few movies to a flash drive to take with me, but when I saw what this thing was capable of, I transferred my entire movie collection to a 4TB portable hard drive and plugged it in. For my purpose, which is to watch only films from my hard drive, this device is well suited for this. I did notice a slight lag when loading other apps, which is to be expected with only 2GB of RAM, but the lag is minimal. The user interface is simple and very easy to navigate. All application icons are displayed on the main screen for easy navigation. Bluetooth worked surprisingly well. I connected bluetooth to send audio to my caravan stereo and the sound was great with minimal lip sync issues. My biggest criticism of this unit is the very basic remote control that comes with it. For some, that might be a plus. Typing with the remote control is a nightmare. So I'd say if you're going to search anything about it, get a wireless keyboard. This will make life a lot easier. I haven't tried streaming content from Netflix, Revain, etc., but I watched a few YouTube videos and they seemed to load fairly quickly with minimal buffering. So I'm sure Netflix will have a similar result if YouTube does well. A 16GB SD card is included, but if you want to install multiple apps I'd suggest upgrading to 32GB or more. You can find that in installation files and the like. 16GB is not enough. Overall I am happy with my purchase and have recommended it to others. If you're on a budget and looking to immerse yourself in the world of Android TV, this is a great place to start.
